Student Life

We are Creative

An extensive range of enrichment activities supports the more formal aspects of school life. The school has facility to train students in activities such as art & craft, dance, drama & music etc. It also provides necessary training for students interested in Taekwondo, Yoga etc.

We are Performers

Art is highly valued at St. Xavier's High School and continues to go from strength to strength, as demonstrated in memorable concerts, competitions and performances held on an annual basis. Students take part in instrumental, singing and dancing activities and have opportunities to perform and showcase their talents.

We are Caring

At St. Xavier's High School we pride ourselves on the support offered to all students, knowing that they perform best when they feel secure and cared for. We value each and every child, recognise their potential and celebrate their success.

School Directors and Facilitators

The prospectus describes an enthusiastic Board of Directors and Facilitators committed to maintaining and furthering the success of the school, working on behalf of the school and meeting parents during the year to hear their views and discuss issues.

Bullying

Bullying is described as repeated action by one child over another individual with a wilful, conscious desire to hurt, threaten or frighten someone. It may be physical, social, psychological or verbal, and may also include interference with personal property or extortion.

The school states that victims will be assured of appropriate action and supervisors will check and report bullying. The school will take action appropriate to the case, including reporting to parents and other behaviour measures.

Sanctions

For pupils who fail to conform to the school's code of conduct, sanctions and behaviour monitoring cards may be used to bring about the required level of behaviour. Written warnings may be issued when verbal warnings have not succeeded in modifying behaviour or for isolated instances of unacceptable behaviour.
